Alternative Provision and provision for Social, Emotional and Mental Health – Strategic Review

Bromley Council is carrying out a review of its provision for children at risk of exclusion and/or who require Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) support.

It will look at:

  • the educational provision that is currently available in Bromley
  • the experiences of the children and young people who use them
  • compare the cost, quality and use of these services against other local authorities and national policies.

The review will lead to recommendations for improving the provision commissioned to create better outcomes for children and young people. This will include recommendations of how Bromley Council can better work in partnership with local mainstream schools to make sure that inclusion and early intervention is core to the support offered by schools.

As part of this review, Bromley Council wants to hear from parents whose children have been excluded from a school in Bromley or who are school refusing to about their experiences and to hear their views on how things could have been done better.

There are a number of ways you can take part:

  • Complete this survey HERE  about your experiences and tell us how things could be done better.
  • Please contact Kay Moore for further information: Kay.Moore2@bromley.gov.uk

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and the information you give us is confidential.
